I was able to bang out another small gift bag to hold a canning jar. This one also uses the potpourri cotton yarn as a prior bag does.
Round 1: This one starts with 8 hdc in a magic circle, Sl st to join. Pull the circle tight.
Round 2: ch1, 2 hdc in each st. 16 st. Sl st to join
Round 3: ch 1, *hdc in first st, 2 hdc in next st, repeat from * to start, sl st to join. 24 st
Round 4: ch 1, *hdc in 1st 2 hdc, 2 hdc in next st, repeat from * to start, sl st to join. 32 st
Round 5: ch 2, hdc in each st to end, join with sl st. 32 hdc.
Now to start the pattern. The main stitch is a y stitch which is made as follows: (triple stitch in next st, ch 1, dc in middle of Tr) marked as Y-st.
Round 6: ch 4 (counts as Tr), *sk 2 hdc, Y-st in next st, repeat from * until 3 st from start, skip 2 st and Tr in final st, sl st to join.
Round 7: ch 4 (counts as Tr), Y-st in each ch-1 space of the Y-st of prior row, Tr in last st (which was a Tr), sl st to join.
Rounds 8 -9: repeat round 7.
Round 10: ch1, hdc in each st and in each ch-1 space – 32 hdc
Round 11: ch1, hdc in next 8 hdc, 25 ch, skip 8 st, hdc in next 8 hdc, ch 25, skip 8 hdc to start of round. Sl st to join.
Round 12: ch1, hdc in 1st st, hdc in next 7 st, hdc in the 25 ch space. I got 25, hdc in next 8 st, 25 hdc in the ch 25 space Sl st to join.
Fasten off and weave in any ends.
