Big Jar – Number 24

My sister-in-law made home made pickles that she shared with us (they were quite good). They were canned in a very large (3 qt) jar. So, I need to use a more detailed stitch pattern. So, I decided to give number 24 a try, It is just chains and dc’s. It is really like  a filet. Maybe they are elongated diamonds or trees – they are whatever you think they are.

I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream cotton yarn in the color grape ( No. 0071). For this project, I used a driftwood crochet hook by Lykke  that I purchased at Loop using a gift card from some friends. This is a 5.5 mm hook (Size I/9). Normally, I would use a smaller hook with this yarn (size H), but I wanted to make sure that the bag was big enough,

Start with a magic circle of 5 sc.
